Things We’re Working on this Week: Reading: Author's Purpose Writing: Commas Math:  Multiplying Decimals Science: Spaceship Earth Anchoring Phenomenon Social Studies: Constitution Movie Day - This Thursday, 5th Graders will be watching the movie National Treasure (PG) to wrap up the Social Studies topics recently covered in class including the colonies, causes for the Revolution, and Declaration of Independence. Keep an eye out for a  Permission Slip  that came home on Friday. If you have any questions or concerns about this movie please check out  Common Sense Media  to see parent reviews. Students may bring in a snack, clear beverage, and a pillow/blanket to enjoy during the movie, and wear their pajamas.  Warme

Please review them and sign the envelope and return the ENVELOPE ONLY to school.    Week 25 March Is Reading Month:   Hooray, it's Reading Month!  We are very excited for the activities that will be occurring at Lincoln School.  You will be able to see information about it here or in Mr. Hubble’s blog. We will be doing the activities in class so the students just need to continue their great reading at home.  It will be a fun month! Algebra Prognosis TEST information: The 5th-grade algebra  prognosis test Upton has used for years to help determine placement at Upton for their math class will be given in the next couple of weeks to those that would like an opportunity to do so.   It is 38 minutes long.  Students are  not  allowed a calculator.  They may use scrap paper.   While we do not want to overwhelm any students that struggle mastering the fifth grade standards, we also want to be sure it is accessible to all students that are interested.   Please let me know if you would like your student to take this test.  I will also be generating a list of students th
