  We have successfully made it through another week of 5th grade and we are now jumping into some 5th grade work. I can't wait to watch everyone grow! Monday - Art Tuesday - P.E. Wednesday - Late Start Thursday- Music & SEL Friday - Media Center Back to School Night If you missed Back to School Night please ask your child for the paperwork if you have not already seen it. The first few pages were permission slips and sign ups. If you'd like to volunteer in the classroom, here is a link to the forms that must be filled out. Students are expected to transport these in their backpacks in the black sleeve for protection. Computers must come to school fully charged each day as we will use them throughout the day. End of Week 1!

  What an amazing first week we had! It was so nice to be able to connect with each of your kids during the past four days.   Everyone did their very best to stay focused and on task even with the excitement of a new school year. I can tell this is going to be a fantastic year! NWEA- We will begin our first NWEA testing session Tuesday morning with Math and again Thursday morning for Reading. We will reassess students in the Winter and Spring to watch their growth throughout the year. Back to School Night- Back to School Night this year will be IN PERSON!  We will meet in Room 206 at 5:00-5:45. The presentation will help to convey information about accessing our weekly blog, Google Classroom, Curriculum highlights and other important classroom expectations. Friday Folders- This year students will be bring home mail on Fridays in their Purple Friday Folder. First Week: 9/6

Dear 5th Grade Families, I hope you had a fun and restful summer and are ready to start another amazing year at Lincoln Elementary School. I am so glad to have met many of you at the Ice Cream Social and am looking forward to the first days of school! This year will be such a memorable one for you and your family as well as for our class family! Parents you will get much of the information needed for this year at Back to School Night, but I encourage you and your child to read through the Classroom Information Slides. Here's a LINK ! This deck is filled with information about the year, important dates, and what we will study.  Most of our classroom information will come home via our folders or this Blog.  One important piece of information about my classroom is that we are peanut free.
