Positivity Project: Identifying & Appreciating the good in others

Valentine's Day at Lincoln School
February 14 is quickly approaching and of course, things this year will continue to be a little different.  Our plan is to hold off on the candy and packaged Valentines, and below are details for the week.

During the week of February 14 - 17, our Positivity Project (P2) activities will be focused on "Love."  Love means that you value close relationships with others and being close to people. The character strength of love represents the way we think, feel, and behave towards the people with whom we have close relationships.

Classes will have activities and lessons in their morning meetings that will take the place of the traditional card exchange and parties.  No need to send anything in from home, we will handle it all in-house.

If you want to look ahead at family activities and connections for that week, remember you can access the P2 for Families at https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/  The password is P2.

LUNCH
We would like to remind everyone that breakfast and lunch are FREE again this year to every St Joseph Public School student. Please try to remember to pre-order your student’s lunches when they are going to participate in lunch.  This helps speed up the morning lunch count process.  You will be allowed to order the Friday before the next week using www.sendmoneytoschool.com.

WEATHER-Please watch the weather every night to prepare for the day. Michigan weather can be very unpredictable, so be prepared. NO MORE SHORTS! Coats, hats, mittens, snow pants, and boots will likely be needed in the next few weeks. Layers underneath are suggested as well in case of weather changes. Please contact me or the front office if you are in need of assistance getting any of these items for your child. We want all kids to have an enjoyable time at recess this winter.
