Parent Teacher Conferences-
We will be doing Conferences the week of November 8th-12th. Here is the sign up if you need a reminder of the day and time you have signed up for. If you elected to attend conferences virtually, your student will use the link on our Google Classroom to join. If you will not be with your student or they did not bring home their Chromebook, please email me for the link. Thank you!

** Please ask your student about how their Personal Narrative is coming along. Prior to turning in their narrative this week, we will be peer editing and working on strong endings.

LUNCH

We would like to remind everyone that breakfast and lunch are FREE again this year to every St Joseph Public School student. Please try to remember to pre-order your student’s lunches when they are going to participate in lunch.  This helps speed up the morning lunch count process.  You will be allowed to order the Friday before the next week using www.sendmoneytoschool.com.  


Reminders-

  • Bring a water bottle to school every day
  • Use door #6

Cold Weather:  Sadly our days are becoming cooler.  Please remember your child is outside up to 4 times a day with gym and 3 recesses.  If the outdoor temperature is below 60, they must have long sleeves.  Please send them in layers so that they can stay warm.

End of Week 1!

  What an amazing first week we had! It was so nice to be able to connect with each of your kids during the past four days.   Everyone did their very best to stay focused and on task even with the excitement of a new school year. I can tell this is going to be a fantastic year! NWEA- We will begin our first NWEA testing session Tuesday morning with Math and again Thursday morning for Reading. We will reassess students in the Winter and Spring to watch their growth throughout the year. Back to School Night- Back to School Night this year will be IN PERSON!  We will meet in Room 206 at 5:00-5:45.   Monday, January 17th -Martin Luther King Jr. Day - No School Tuesday, January 18th - P.E., Finish NWEA Testing and Remember the Titans Wednesday, January 19th - LATE START Thursday, January 20th - Sarett 9-2:30pm Friday, January 21st - Media Center & 4th Grade Program Important Dates Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, NO SCHOOL - January 17th  Late Start - January 19th Skiing at Sarrett - January 20th ½ Days - January 27th & 28th   Skiing at Sarett We will be traveling by bus to Sarett Nature Center on Thursday Morning this week. Please make sure your child has a winter coat, snow pants, waterproof gloves, and a hat. If any parent wants to join us, you are more than welcome. Paperwork was sent home last week if you are interested. You will need to drive yourself, and meet us there at 9:30am.
