Halloween Party- We will be having our Halloween party 10/29 please sign up HERE to donate snacks and treats for the party. If you have other ideas feel free to add those too. Instead of a typical party we will be watching the Pixar film Coco and reading about the Day of the Dead (Dia de Muertos).

Reminders-

  • Bring a water bottle to school every day
  • Snack is every day at 10:55 (no nuts)

As we begin to get into our curriculum, things may get tough, but it’s okay! Mistakes are welcome here and I am here for your children!


Friday Folders went home, please look through the papers, keep them and sign the folder and date it on the signing sheet!

  Here is the week outlined: MONDAY: NO SCHOOL TUESDAY: NWEA Math WEDNESDAY: LATE START & M-STEP Science THURSDAY: UPTON Visit FRIDAY: Track Meet at SJHS @ 12:00-3:00pm  & T ech Fest @ 6:30-7:30pm at the high school student center Upton Visit A message from Mr. Mandarino regarding our Upton visit on Thursday, May 5rd.   We look forward to seeing you next week at UMS!   Field Trip information-  We will be traveling to Grand Rapids right away Monday morning. The bus will leave at 8:30 am, so please be on time! Students will need a sack lunch, and can bring their own technology on the bus. Make sure they have headphones for music or games. Technology use must be school appropriate and will be taken away if it is not. All technology is brought at your own risk. SJPS is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged technology. There will not be WiFi on the bus. Technology should be brought in a backpack along with the sack lunch. Masks are optional at Van Andel. We will return to school at 2:30 pm. Testing Continues! We will be testing NWEA Reading on Tuesday and Math M-Step testing on Wednesday this week.  Please be sure your child’s computer is fully charged the night before .  In addition, please ensure they get plenty of rest and a good breakfast the morning of the test.  Students have as much time as they need to take this tes...
