MONDAY: NO SCHOOL

TUESDAY: NWEA Math

WEDNESDAY: LATE START & M-STEP Science

THURSDAY: UPTON Visit

FRIDAY: Track Meet at SJHS @ 12:00-3:00pm  & Tech Fest @ 6:30-7:30pm at the high school student center


Upton Visit

A message from Mr. Mandarino regarding our Upton visit on Thursday, May 5rd.

 We look forward to seeing you next week at UMS! Below we have a rough outline of the day and some items listed below to note.


10:15-10:32: Welcome to Upton in the UMS Auditorium

10:35-10:59: "About Upton" presentation

11:01-11:51: Group tours/Lockers/Specials Classrooms

11:55-12:30: 5th grade lunch

12:35-1:15: Panel & goodbye


  • Students will not have built-in class work time this year, so bringing backpacks shouldn't be necessary.
  • Main Course on Thursday: Chicken Sandwich
  • We will have 7th graders touring at the 11:01 time slot
  • On the panel, we will have 6th graders

End of Week 1!

  What an amazing first week we had! It was so nice to be able to connect with each of your kids during the past four days.   Everyone did their very best to stay focused and on task even with the excitement of a new school year. I can tell this is going to be a fantastic year! NWEA- We will begin our first NWEA testing session Tuesday morning with Math and again Thursday morning for Reading.   Monday, January 17th -Martin Luther King Jr. Day - No School Tuesday, January 18th - P.E., Finish NWEA Testing and Remember the Titans Wednesday, January 19th - LATE START Thursday, January 20th - Sarett 9-2:30pm Friday, January 21st - Media Center & 4th Grade Program Important Dates Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, NO SCHOOL - January 17th  Late Start - January 19th Skiing at Sarrett - January 20th ½ Days - January 27th & 28th   Skiing at Sarett We will be traveling by bus to Sarett Nature Center on Thursday Morning this week. Please make sure your child has a winter coat, snow pants, waterproof gloves, and a hat. If any parent wants to join us, you are more than welcome. Paperwork was sent home last week if you are interested. You will need to drive yourself, and meet us there at 9:30am.
