Our classroom could use some donations of snacks, tissues, and disposable cups again. These donations are used for students who forget to bring in a water bottle or snack to school. Lately, we have gone through many of each. Snacks can include individually wrapped foods like goldfish, fruit snacks, pretzels, cheez-its, crackers, or granola bars.

We have been listening to several stories and doing activities in honor of Black History month as well!


Positivity Project Character Strength : Love

The definition for love this week is that “We value close relationships with others and being close to people.” We will be celebrating love all week! 


 

Valentine's Day at Lincoln School

February 14 is quickly approaching and of course, things this year will continue to be a little different.  Our plan is to hold off on the candy and packaged Valentines, and below are details for the week.


During the week of February 14 - 17, our Positivity Project (P2) activities will be focused on "Love."  Love means that you value close relationships with others and being close to people. The character strength of love represents the way we think, feel, and behave towards the people with whom we have close relationships.

We would like to remind everyone that breakfast and lunch are FREE again this year to every St Joseph Public School student. Please try to remember to pre-order your student’s lunches when they are going to participate in lunch.  This helps speed up the morning lunch count process.  You will be allowed to order the Friday before the next week using www.sendmoneytoschool.com.

  Here is the week outlined: MONDAY: NO SCHOOL TUESDAY: NWEA Math WEDNESDAY: LATE START & M-STEP Science THURSDAY: UPTON Visit FRIDAY: Track Meet at SJHS @ 12:00-3:00pm  & T ech Fest @ 6:30-7:30pm at the high school student center Upton Visit A message from Mr. Mandarino regarding our Upton visit on Thursday, May 5rd.   We look forward to seeing you next week at UMS!   Field Trip information-  We will be traveling to Grand Rapids right away Monday morning. The bus will leave at 8:30 am, so please be on time! Students will need a sack lunch, and can bring their own technology on the bus. Make sure they have headphones for music or games. Technology use must be school appropriate and will be taken away if it is not. All technology is brought at your own risk. SJPS is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged technology. There will not be WiFi on the bus. Technology should be brought in a backpack along with the sack lunch. Masks are optional at Van Andel. We will return to school at 2:30 pm. Testing Continues! We will be testing NWEA Reading on Tuesday and Math M-Step testing on Wednesday this week.  Please be sure your child’s computer is fully charged the night before .  In addition, please ensure they get plenty of rest and a good breakfast the morning of the test.  Students have as much time as they need to take this tes...
