Halloween Party- We will be having our Halloween party 10/29. Please sign up HERE to donate snacks and treats for the party. If you have other ideas feel free to add those too. Instead of a typical party we will be watching the Pixar film Coco and reading about the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos)

Friday Folders went home, please look through the papers, keep them and sign the folder and date it on the signing sheet! If you have a yellow form from the office please make sure all the information is correct and sign and return it in your child's Friday Folder. 


NWEAWe are completely done with all of our NWEA testing until the winter! We will discuss scores at conferences and make a plan for moving forward. 


Parent Teacher Conferences-We have a few half days coming up this week for Parent Teacher Conferences. The fifth grade team, myself included, will not be holding conferences until November 8-11th (the second set of half days). There will be a sign up available as the dates get closer.

End of Week 1!

  What an amazing first week we had! It was so nice to be able to connect with each of your kids during the past four days.   Everyone did their very best to stay focused and on task even with the excitement of a new school year. I can tell this is going to be a fantastic year! NWEA- We will begin our first NWEA testing session Tuesday morning with Math and again Thursday morning for Reading. We will reassess students in the Winter and Spring to watch their growth throughout the year. Back to School Night- Back to School Night this year will be IN PERSON!  We will meet in Room 206 at 5:00-5:45. The presentation will help to convey information about accessing our weekly blog, Google Classroom, Curriculum highlights and other important classroom expectations. Friday Folders- This year students will be bring home mail on Fridays in their Purple Friday Folder.
